LOAD RECOMMENDATION PLEASE (308 Win.)

I am looking for some load recommendations. Here is the build specs and reloading components that I have. Bartlien 20" 1-10 twist 5R barrel. Chamber cut for 178-215 hybrids. 308 Win chamber for Lapua brass. Surgeon 591 action. AI chassis stock. I have Lapua Palma brass (new), CCI450 primer, Berger 185 Hybrid bullets. Looking for recommended powder and charge weight, seating depths, and primer recommendations. So load recipes.

Brian, I will give you suggestions, but proceed at your own risk.

185 grain to 190 grain. 168 smk's are pretty accurate out of my rifles.

VLD's I found like to be in the lands about .010 .

Berger Juggernauts I found either want to be kissing the lands and up to .050 off. Every new barrel I will use the same charge and try different seating depths. I actually found out two barrels liked to be off by .050 by mistake. Now I always try them so see which one groups the best.

I use Varget and CCI + WLR's primers. Start your load around 42.0 grains and work up.

Proceed with caution and do so at your own risk. Check your first round for pressure signs. Every barrel is different.

Contact Berger Bullet Co. They are awesome with communication. Been on phone with them for the past month building my 190 VLD load's. Very, very, very happy with my load and 1000 accuracy out of my .308.

Seem like your barrel mayby too short for run those heavy projectile supersonic at long range.

Give a tried with Berger 175 otm which design to stable even run slower than supersonic.
