load for 243 win with 115 dtac & H4350

Hello guys,

I need help with a load for my 243. it has a 28 inch barrel. it shoots 95 bergers really good, but i cant find any.

i have 500 dtacs so might as well shoot them.

the berger manual recommends 38 grains of h4350 as the max load, but i see online that some people are shooting them at 42-44 grains.

Any thoughts?

I will shoot norma brass.

About 40 grains based upon my previous experience with the cartridge in Long Range comp.. I had better luck with slower powders though - H1000 or Reloader 22 or 25 would offer better velocities and, perhaps, slightly longer barrel life.

I am using 39.5gn of H4350 with a F210M primer, 115gn DTAC and Lapua case. This is a very accurate load in my rifle. I do not have the velocity of this load but would assume its not pushing anywhere near the 3000 fps mark. The range I do most of my shooting only goes out to 300 yards so I don't need to push them that hard anyway. If I was shooting this rifle at 1000 yards I would look for a higher accuracy node.
