I had it awhile back and really liked it. I forgot to re-up and havent added anything new so backburnered it.
It has just about every published manual plus handloader mag loads. You can search it without paying just cant see the charge wieghts. But can see enough to tell if youll be pleased

You can go to almost any powder company like Hodgdon etc and get good starting loads to max but I have invested in books. I own almost every manual out there which might seem a waste but for me it is a tool I can keep. You can also find used manuals for like half price on this forum and many others. I like to own books because they have so much more info that is handy.
I think Loaddata is worth the money. The subscription includes access to many selected articles and columns from the Wolfe magazines. That's not free on the internet. I have a pretty full set of Handloader and Rifle both paper and disc but searching Loaddata is quicker and far easier than swapping discs or scattering magazines all over the room.
Often I will find data that first appeared in a magazine by computer search of Loaddata and that will guide me to the original magazine publication with additional and useful text. Then I can load the specific disk or read one magazine from the many stacks.
The Loaddata data is computer searchable although there is no fuzzy logic so getting search terms wrong - or abbreviated - produces a not found and many search terms are not exactly standard. It pays to note the actual usage when material has been found by repeated searches.
On the other hand, time was Wolfe was licensed to reproduce then current book data from several majors on Loaddata. Those licenses have not been renewed so Loaddata in no way shape or form substitutes for buying the newer books and hasn't for years now. Still Loaddata is handy for old data like pistol loads for 452 and 473 powders from Speer #11 and others. Loaddata uses something like W 452AA as the search term for this article.
I do find data from the internet to be useful.
I have also found data on the internet to be incomplete in one way or another. In one case I was foolish enough to think the on line data from a major bullet maker included all the data I would find in the book. In this case on line data at the time was data from the previous book. So I didn't get the newer book from the next room. Loaded a fine but temperature sensitive powder when I prefer one of the newer less temperature sensitive powders. My mistake. The new book had more data with a preferred powder I had on hand. Now I always check the book before committing to a load.

Can someone make a list for the bullet and powder manufacturers that list load data? Hodgden and Alliant have data. Should be at least 3 more.
I use both LoadData and Ammo Guide. I'm not terribly keen on LoadData's search functions.
I like AmmoGuide's search features better and I like the fact that conributors are constantly adding to the database. I'm tending to use it more than LoadData these days.
I also use a variety of on-line sources published by bullet and powder manufacturers. I find the external ballistic resources of JBM and Hornady to be good, and I love Berger's bullet stability calculator.
