Load data for .308 Berger bullets

Hey all, Just looking for a starting point for some 175 grain Berger bullets. I'm shooting a .308 Remington 700. 24' barrel. What I'm looking for is what powder types and amount to use as well as seating depth. The other components I'm using are CCI BR2 primers and Lapua brass

Hope you have some Varget....
The sweet spot for my Savage 10 and PacNor is 41.8grs with the 175gr BergerVLD. I use CCIBR primers and let the bullet run long in the throat,almost in the lands).
As with all reloading data, start a little lower,10%) and work up watching for signs of pressure!


Have shot this load for just a short while, and have found it to be quite good.

SDB, what kind of velocities are you seeing with that and what do you recommend as far as seating depth. I do have some Varget, but have 5 pounds of 4895,Thank god for powder valley). I'll try that as well as emailing berger as recommended by js 223... I appreciate the quick advice guys... one last question, What are you guys doing as far a seating depth, I know Sierras like a bit of jump in my rifle, what about bergers?
