Load data for .223 and 70 gr. Berger VLD's

Rifle's an 8 twist AR15.

24.4 grains ramshot tac with wolf primers, LC (2007) brass, loaded to 2.255 shot 1" 10 shot at 100 out of CLE (douglas 1-7" 18" heavy SPR with match chamber) ar-15. velocity was 2864 fps. that is my only experience.

I have used up to 25.0 grains of Varget before.

I'm using 24.2gr of AR-Comp, WW brass, and Wolf SRM, all loaded to mag length (2.250"). Good for about 2850fps out of a 18" AR (Mk12 clone). Could never get TAC to work with two different AR's.

I was looking at the 70 vlds the other day online. Got me wondering if the stabilize very good in bolt guns with 9tw

should be no problem in a 9 twist. the 70 has a fairly short bearing surface, so i think a 9 would be good to go

Try 23.0 Grains of AA2230

Easily the best load from my rifle in windy conditions @ 100 yards with a 1-9 and 223 with 70's

Hornady 68 BTHP and AA2520 powder is my "go to" load for the 600 yd line in NRA HP matches.

Stabilise fine in my CZ 527 Varmint 1:9 Twist. Tested out to 300 metres so far. Using AR2206H (H4895) Powder.
