Load and new barrel (different reamer) same action

I have a new Bartlein barrel with a completely different reamer spec and the head spacing is a little smaller than my old barrel (which was not chambered to my liking - brass grew too much). The new barrel is chambered for a specific bullet and seating depth range - similar to my old load on the old barrel. Anyways time to break in the new barrel, sized all the brass accordingly - I should be able to start at maybe 1 grain below my old load to start breaking in the barrel and fire forming the brass correct?

Should be very safe. I would prob just drop 0.5 grains. Depending how hot your previous load was.

Load was theoretically hot but not in reality. Very fast load but I think it was the barrel. Never had any pressure signs (primers, case head, bolt opening difficulties, etc) and pretty outstanding SD and ESs over 100s of rounds in different weather so should be safe. Will start at .5 below.
