LNL AP Wilson die bottoming out

praveen

Administrator
I usually do my FL sizing on a single stage but lately have been trying to move all sizing operations to a LNL AP progressive.
My Wilson 6 Dasher FL sizing die however, completely bottoms out in the press and still won't bump the shoulder back at all.

Could anybody recommend a 6 Dasher FL sizing die that can be used on a LNL AP press ?

Thanks,
Praveen

If you don't want to modify the die, you can always try one of the modular dies with micrometer adjustment for the shoulder. SAC, Cortina, and a few others.

I’m not sure I would have to measure one, I think there about that thick but you would need a mill to keep all five uniform.

I was thinking about removing the difference between the plate and a shell holder from the base of the die. But maybe that’s not a valid option

You would have to remove material here to get more bump

I should have been more clear. The problem is that the die body is too short and I’m running out of threads. It doesn’t touch the shell holder/plate when screwed in completely.
That’s why I thought may be a different die but I don’t know which one may work.
