Lite Varmit rifle scope choice

What would your scope choice be for a Tikka T3X lite rifle in 222 rem. Shooting 30 to 40 gn bullets out to 350 yards. I dont want to fiddle with adjusting turrents, and would like a reticle to make fine placement of shots. I have to start looking somewhere and there are a lot of scopes I am not aware of, so any help would be much appreciated.

Bushnell Elite Tactical HDMR 3.5-21x50. You can do all your drops & windage adjustments with the reticle.

A variable say to up to 16, max 18x. I really just want something to be clear, light weight ish ( not a 2.4 lb tac scope), reliable and not outrageously expensive. Any brands and model suggestions I would be greatfull to hear about.

Consider the NF 2.5-20x50 and 4-32x50 models (30 mm tubes). These are around 1-3/4 lbs. They are relatively compact also. Many reticle choices, first or second focal plane models. I have three of these in the FFP models and probably will buy again. Shop them at Eurooptic.com for deals on demo models.

I have a .222 sporter that is topped with an older 1" Leupold 4.5x14 AO with hunter type adjustments. It has a fine duplex reticle and I love it. I keep it sighted in at 3/4" high at 100 yards and normally shoot either 40 gr. BTs or Vmax. All of my compensation for distance and wind has always been by holding off.

A fixed power SWAFA in the 12 or 16 power is sufficiently clear plus adequate magnification easily out to 500yd, and the mil hash reticle will provide rapid holdovers. Great durability for $350 no frills scope.
