Lipski Competition Rear Sight Base

I currently shoot the Savage 12 F T/R rifle in F-Open matches. It has the EGW HD F-Class picatinny rail with Sightron scope.



I would like to have the option to use this rifle in PALMA matches. My rifle has the adjustable rollover cheek piece and 3-way adjustable butt.



I really do not want to drill and tap my receiver for the side mount iron sight base. But I will, if I absolutely have to.

Has anybody used this with a picatinny rail and iron sights such as the Phoenix Precision rear sight or Warner rear sight?
