Anybody know what bore diameter Lilja uses on their 3 groove .224 barrels? Are they close to .218” or standard .219”. I’ve read some users of the Lilja 3 groove barrels claim that they are tight bored.
I am going to have a 1-7” Lilja 3 groove 30” finish length .223 chambered for F-TR. It f these are a tualy tight bored then risk of bullet failure rises. Just have to keep 1st few inches of barrel clean and not allow carbon to build up (i.e., Iosso or Thorro Clean every 100 rounds short stroked from throat forward about 6” should take care of carbon build up). A tight bore with hard carbon build up will really increase the risk of bullet blow ups.
If any of you have experience with Lilja 3 Groove .224/.223 barrels are they tight bore or standard nominal bore dimensions.
Thanks
