Light Gathering Low light Bear Hunting scope

Any recommendations for a good quality light gathering rifle scope? Distances are close, 20 to 30 yards. We hunt the last 4 hours of daylight from treestands. The last half hour is the best time, but hardest to see. Thank you.

KLONDIKE, It doesn't look like many people want to weigh in on the best low power scope for hunting at almost dark conditions. I wished I could help you. Come on guys how about some more information on the very best light gathering scopes? Which one is best?

Mueller optics Check the ebay ads;
They are a good buy and come in several different scope powers. They have an illuminated dot reticle,s in their line.
From what i have heard from others they are really good for the money.

Any of the low power german stuff with a large field of view.My vote would be for the new swarovski,simply amazing glass and an amazing amount of field of view.Once you have used authentic german glass it is very hard to go back.
If you are only shooting 20-30 yards I think you may be better with a holo sight

The 2.5-8 Leupold's work fine thumping bruno's in the shadows.

If you need batteries for any optical device-consider night sights for a back up option.

Artificial light/Illuminated reticles are illegal to hunt big game in Alaska,state laws vary,you need to check prior to going afield.

I have used a Zeiss Conquest 3x9 by 50mm to hunt pigs under full moon light. It is my brightest scope. I don't have anything bigger than 50mm.
