Had a great visit with a long time friend today. Before we met up he asked if I was short on any loading materials. I told him that I was running a little short on 2400. He said he could fix that. Now you have to understand that this friend is what others call a hoarder. I don't, because he doesn't just sit on his purchases. He waits until either he or a friend needs something and then comes to the rescue. He just truly likes to help and has always had an excellent eye for buying bargains and haunting sales. Been that way over 50 years now.

Today's miracle -

8 pounds, unopened, kept in a climate controlled room - $150.

Just curious. I'm in Australia and have never seen a cardboard 8lb. I've seen 1lb metal tins but have only transitioned to shooting bulk 4kg containers in the last 15yrs or so. All the 4kgs I've used have been plastic.
Used to be very common to get one pound canisters that were cardboard body with metal ends. Lots of various powders (especially the military surplus) came in cardboard containers, particularly the eight pounders but many smaller sizes as well. Very common to get a lot of the "shotgun" powders in cardboard kegs.
