I noticed in reading about the G7 that it has the capability to range through fog, snow and rain with different modes. That's something I really miss about my old Nikon Monarch 1200 LRF. It had that same ability. My current Leica 1600 does NOT. The Leica will NOT range through any significant snowfall, fog or heavy rain whatsoever. That is the one and only major downfall of the Leica IMO.

We had snow here in ND all day today. I was reading large targets all the way out to 1000 yards. Geovids and the 1200 and 1600 couldn't do it. Read one target today at 435 yards and the Leicas still wouldn't get it. I love the Leica RFs once again....But the G7 is pretty awesome, as it should be for the money a guy pays for it.
