LeveRevolution VS Varget in 308?

Ive heard of folks using LeveRevolution in place of Varget in 308 win loads with good results. My question is directed at those of you who have experience with this. How did the charge weights compare? Pretty close for the same/ similar velocity or was it a pretty big difference in charge weight? What loads are working well for you guys? I load for two 308 wins, one is a 24" 1-10 twist savage 10 Tactical, shooting 168gr Amaxs on 44gr varget in mil brass at 2750 FPS , the other is a Savage dual port PTA with a 30" Krieger 1-11 twist shooting 155gr SMK Palmas on 46.5gr Varget in Lapua Brass at 2950 FPS. LeveRevolution seems to be quite a bit easier to pick up these days than Varget, and Im wondering if I shouldnt pick some up. Yes, I will work up from a low load if I try LeveRevolution. Yes, I know every gun, bullet, powder, primer, case work differently in dfferent combos.

Looking forward to responses on this. Being it works in the marlin express I can't believe it won't work well in the a 308.

I just got my order confirmation for my leverevolution powder from powder valley. They are good to deal with.I will be witing to see if anyone chimes in on this as I want to do the same thing.

if someone find a good load with a ES less than 20 with this powder ill buy 8lbs

Eric, the link you posted showed some pretty happy folks with LVR in 308 but no chronno numbers. I'm with you, I'd like to see some more numbers and then I'll pick up a jug. I've got plenty of varget right now, but its the only powder I use for 5 rifles so it goes fast. I wouldn't mind picking up 8lb of LVR.

So my local pawnshop got some Leverevolution in on the shelf so i am thinking of picking up some and some primers and do some load testing with the 208amax and 190SMK

I know its an old thread. I tested Lever yesterday in my 250AI with 75 gr HH along with several other powders. 100 fps higher than other powders at 3635 fps and ES 1, grouped .481". Im finding this to be an accurate and fast powder. We also tested it in 6.5 CM last year with similar results. As I said in a different post, the Unis Ginex primers were amazing, giving excellent numbers with all powders tested. Im going to test it in 308 soon and perhaps a few other calibers
