Already chekke with Hogdgon , they have no info. Am going to load as if were Varget. See what I get .Looking at Hodgdon’s online load data, they don’t have any info for this powder. However if you look at all the powders that they do have data on. About 90% are all a faster burn rate on their chart. The closest to LeveRevolution is H380 and CFE 223. You can compare the listed loads of those powders, but I would suggest calling Hodgdon. They will help you with info for their powders. They may not recommend using this powder for your case and bullet choice.
What a kowinkidink. I just today did the same thing -223-69-leverevelution. I loaded up to 28. I might have to dissasemble some if i run into pressure. After looking at other load data where cfe223 and lever was used, i could see lever always has a higher charge than cfe223. No use calling hogdon because they will only give the standard text answer. They will say that this powder only works in very limited parameter's. I don't believe that gobblygoo. Hogdon does not show H4350 in 8mm mauser -175-180 grain bullet's. And it is absolutely the best accuracy. It goes to show hogdon test( how they want ) not how customer wants. Who in their right mind would not want to use H4350 in an 8mm mauser ? It's like toast and jelly !I am looking to see if anyone is using lever revoloution powder in remington .223,69 grain bullet application? If so what loads areyou using for best accuracy. I am new to reloading and can’t find any data for this .
Not like varget ! It is slower than cfe223.Already chekke with Hogdgon , they have no info. Am going to load as if were Varget. See what I get .
Risk vs rewards. I'm guessing he bought a single pound and wants to make it work. Not the place for a beginner, and were not in a powder shortage, so justification a far reach.“I am new to reloading and can’t find any data for this .”
Not saying it can’t or won’t work. With that statement, no data for the powder is not the place for a beginner to start off.
Ran across a fellow this past weekend at a gun shop. He wanted a powder you could load everything with, rifle and pistol.
Two off the top of my head for sure, trailboss and unique can be done with castbullets. As cocky as the fellow was I imagine he will need medical assistance in the future.
I agree with your thimking , however I went a more conservative load at 23 grns. I loaded 10 rounds for my tests . Will post findings later. What a kowinkidink. Safety is important,I won’t argue the point.
As mentioned there is no powder shortage and plenty of good known loads for 223/5.56. With the equipment available today, even to the public, is a far cry I would imagine even from pressure labs just a short few years ago.
An old local gent that had all of his digits and eyes told me “boy, powder, primer and bullets are cheap, guns and medical needs are expensive”. That has stuck with me and served me well.
Shoot well and shoot safe gents.
Even varget calls for 25 or more ? I would be more afraid of not having enough ! I think it's not advisable to load under (starting loads). I've heard of possible bad things happening. 23 is more for fast powders like H322 ? Or benchmark ?I agree with your thimking , however I went a more conservative load at 23 grns. It looks like i got my test done before you , 27 grains was very good in my AR/Krieger, 28 was too much. Not dangerous but definitely max/ over max. Accuracy not good at 28 . if i use it in the future 27 grains is just right. My best loads were with( AR comp) 23.5 grains. .280" perfectly concentric. Second best N530-23.3 grains .290" not as concentric.I am looking to see if anyone is using lever revoloution powder in remington .223,69 grain bullet application? Thamx for your input . My loads at 23 were severely under powered . Therefore I am going to load more at a higher capacity to check results . Thamx for thu video. Very informative. Good to see others thimking like me . Lever revolution is the most available powder in my area and it will be good to know how to load it . Thamx again .This may provide you at least some data points even if the bullets are not the same.
