Levels

Suggestions for anti cant levels. I’ve seen scope mounted and rail mounted looking for options for a new f class rifle.

Thanks

I have the bipod rail-mounted US Optics flip-out mounts on all my F-TR rifles. https://www.eurooptic.com/rail-moun..._term=4580634162241580&utm_content=Brands New

The bottom line is that there are many models/manufacturers to choose from. Whatever style you decide on, make sure you can actually see it easily when prone behind the rifle as you would be in a match. If it is difficult to see/read in shooting position without having to make major movements or contortions, you will never be happy with it.

I have 2 accuracy 1st 34mm levels and they're top notch.

The other level I really like is made by Wheeler.....

The 34mm I got came with 30mm reducing rings. Folds in and out and holds it's level amazingly perfect over the past 4 years. It's mounted on in conjunction with the accuracy 1st level so a left hand shooter can use the Wheeler and a right hander can see the Accuracy 1st.

Us optics vote here. It mounts to the scope rail , this keeps it nice a low to spot with my non shooting eye when I'm setting up.

How about the Send iT-XSL or Send iT from Long Range Arms? https://www.longrangearms.com/ Has great features that make it very easy to see (led lights or a combo version with bubble level and led lights) and adjustable sensitivity. Can also do vertical as well as horizontal level. Pricey but not sure if there is anything better.

Been using the better Vortex level on both my Open , and F-TR rifles for three years now with zero issues . Excellent piece for the price-point .
If you mount any level in the proper location , then visibility is not a issue . If you shoot with both eyes open ; your level should be in your field of vision , with minor eye movement , without having to adjust your placement on the cheek-rest . A shooter using only one eye should find the level visible when opening the second eye , without having to adjust your "weld" . A level is supposed to be a aid....not a distraction . If you have to "LOOK" for it , then it may be in the improper location .

I agree almost any quality level mounted on your optic will get you the desired results you are looking for.
However, I have used many brands and the Vortex level is by far my favorite for visibility and accuracy.
As long as you true your reticle with a plum bob at 25-50yds while adjusting your level to read zero you are golden.
Be as precise as possible as even a little cant can throw you off at extended range.

I have seen some people run cheaper levels on high caliber/ recoil guns with frustration because the recoil separates the bubble and have to take time for it to re-settle or twist the rifle to do so. At one point it was actually entertaining to watch but I soon brought it to his attention and he has since switched. That's what friends are for.

If the bubble splits evenly, now you have a distinct line to center up on, lol
My snipetac used to split the bubble of a Holland level, next shot back to a whole bubble, what a pain.

I saw one once that turned to "fish eggs" after a 338 Lapua recoil. I guess you really get what you pay for.
