So I sent this scope into Leupold for their assessment/warranty. Have yet to hear back and was just curious as to what you folks think the problem it. When I hear back I'll let you know.
Point of Impact changes depending on the power setting of the scope. Issue has been reproduced on two separate rifles, one with STD ring/dovetail the other with MK 4 on a picatinny rail. Both rifles produce repeatable 1” groups with this scope (at 100) so long as the power is not adjusted. Both rifles zeroed at 5x, and then adjusted down to minimum and worked back up. Below is a representation of the groups produced with the number in the circle representing the scope power. Each rifle showed the same pattern and spread at 100 yards.
