If its a silhouette special as it says on the label, I dont expect it to be very small. The moa conversion depends on the field of view at the magnification you want to find the size of the dot in moa

Braxton, have you looked through them to see the size of the dot? The 18-40 I sold earlier this year (at a very similar price) had at least a half moa dot that got bigger as you zoomed in, so it was a first focal plane dot

The silhouette scopes (25X n 36X) I am familiar with are 3/8 or 1/2 MOA dots. I don’t know what decimal equivalent that is.

i have not personally looked through these, ill give him give me a call tomorrow and ask him!

If it's a silhouette special it is a second focal plane reticle. In a second focal plane scope the dot appears to stay the same size in relation to the target but actually gets smaller. the subtensions on the silhouette special scope in inches at 100 yards are as follows. 5/8 @ 20x, 1/2 @ 24x and 3/8" @ 36x. This is why a rangfinding reticle is only accurate at a certain power setting on a second focal plane variable scope.
Unlike a first focal plane scope where the reticle is magnified at the same rate as the image is increased. In a first focal plane scope the reticle subtends the same at all powers.
