Leupold vs Vortex vs Sightron

I am looking to upgrade my current scope which is a Leupold vx-2 4-12×50. It is going on a Savage model 11 with B&C target/competition stock and Criterion 22" 260 rem barrel. It will mostly be used shooting off a bench at paper from 100 to 600 yards. Possibly further eventually. It will also be used for whitetail hunting occasionally. My max that I would like to spend is around $800. I have been looking at the Leupold vx-3 6.5-20x, Vortex HST, PST 6-24x, and Sightron SIII 6-24x. I prefer MOA over Mil. What would you recommend for my situation or what are the pros and cons of each one. I would really appreciate any advice. I'm also open to other options that fit that criteria also. Thank you!

All three are nice scopes and all have earned excellent reputations. All three have a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty. I'd look through each one and go with the one that delivers the goods to my eye. I did so, in fact, a number of years ago and went with the Sightron SIII, FWIW.

If you happen to be active or former military or LEO, the Vortex discount can swing the deal in their favor - 40% off is nothing at which to sneeze! (I went with the Sightron, anyway)

Sightron also offers the same discount as Vortex. Contact their customer service dept by email and they'll get you started. Easy!! I've used it twice this year.
Thanks Bill

Didn't know that! Thanks for the timely information - I may be adding an 8-32 sometime soon.
