Leupold target knobs

Years ago I bought a Leupold scope with tall target knobs. It came with 2 sets of knobs - one set that used the screw on dust covers and another set that was a little over size and did not use dust covers. They were interchangeable.

Does Leupold still include both sets of knobs on brand new scopes with target knobs?

I'm not going to say either way for sure as the "last" new one (8.5-25X50 LRT) I bought didn't.

The ones you are looking for are still available from them for about $15 each, tapered target knobs is what I ask for when I call. I have noticed that the windage one changed sometime to be RT-or LT from ZERO to 7.5 moa, instead of 1-15 moa.

Also to the best of my limited knowledge they only make them for 1/4 moa adjustable scopes, not the Competition Series which are 1/8 moa.

My suggestion is to call Leupold @(503) 526-1400 I am sure they will be able to answer all your Questions!!!!

I have a new Leupold 45X45 Competition Scope that came with only one set of knobs and dust covers ... which I prefer. Protecting an expensive scope and ensuring it gives me long and reliable service is my #1 priority. Target knobs look neat, but dust can really gum up the works. If I ever decide to remove the covers permanently, I in essence will have target knobs too, albeit shorter ones with a slightly different look.

I trid to get of set of the tappered Targt knobs from Leupold for a 45X Comp. model, was told they (Leupold) doesn't make them in 1/8 moa for the Competition models only the 1/4 moa standard Target turret found on VX models.
