Leupold scopes

Where are leupold scopes made( parts,glass etc)? I ask cause I was told most are made in the orient but their Z7 line was made in the states.So which is it? thanks

Pretty sure the glass is ground in Japan.

They have always touted their products as 100% American Made.

From their website:
All Gold Ring scopes are designed, machined, assembled, and tested in Beaverton.
And, yes the lenses are imported.
Therefore the Rifleman series is apparently out-sourced.

I wouldn't be put off by Japanese glass or where they are made. I might be by a reputation for canted reticles though...

Buy the older Veri-X-lll I believe they are far better than any of the new VX stuff The older one seem to have better glass and can be bought for half the price of the new ones.
