Leupold Customer Service

I lost my scope caps to a VXII 1-4 this past weekend. Left them on the truck hood and drove away. So I called Leupold, willing to pay for another set. I was honest with the tech and told him what had happened, he said “I’ll send a new set out today” , I offered to pay and he said that wasn’t needed.

So the least I could do is a make a post or two about their 5 star service. It was appreciated.

I bought a used scope from a guy here in town and he had the custom CDS dial installed and set up for a 300 WSM. I called Leupold and told them I would like to get a plain MOA turret to replace it with and they shipped it out next day for free. Very pleased.

Sent in a Redfield Revenge for repair to Leupold. They wrote me and said that since they no longer made the Revenge they would replace it with another scope. The one they let me choose was almost three times the cost of the Redfield. What's not to like. Leupold has always been the best in Customer Service in all the years I have owned one.

I drove over my binoculars, and told them the truth. I had a new pair in 3 days no questions asked, and no charge. Made a customer for life out of me.

In 1990 I purchased a Leupold vxII 3-9x40. Nothing fancy and mounted it on my 7mag for an elk hunt. Over the years the screw type turret adjustments have all but froze up. Hard to turn with even a screw driver. I called a Leupold tech and he said send it back and they'd repair it and if it was unrepairable, they'd replace it with a comparable model. Two weeks later I received an email letting me know they replaced my 1990 Leupold vxII with a 2017 VXII 3-9x50. Pretty decent customer service IMO.

Never had an issue with Leupold, but with your BS rules about exporting glassware, I can't send a scope back to them direct from Australia any more & have to lodge it with their Australian franchisee. He doesn't move them until he has a carton full, so time to repair can be lengthy.

Stop buying American products. Then our "BS" rules won't apply. I'll bet you just loved Obama !

I had a bad experience recently with leupold. I had it all typed up here but when I hit post reply it told me I wasn't allowed. What's this all about?

Didn't use any profanity, just tried to relay my experience.
