Leupold CDS ???

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Leupold CDS (Custom Dial System) and if so, how well does it work? I have been looking at the new VX-6 in a 3X18X44 and I know from past experience with many Leupold scopes (as well as others) that they don't always track perfectly. The newer VX-3 series has the twin spring system that is suppose to be a big improvement over the older Vari X 111 but some of the new VX-3 scopes that I have still don't seem to track as perfectly as I think they should. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.....George

I've got/had seven of them....they work as advertised, and as reliable as any you put turrets on.

No.... you can only put the dials on scopes that are designed to take the CDS dials... You give Leupold the drop data, and they engrave the dial for your scope, and send it to you.

They damn WORK!

Ping with a laser, dial it, and you are on it.

You can send any Leupold to there custom shop and they wilol engrave a turret for it done it many times

Hmmm...

Not two different answers. Two different scopes, one answer for each scope.

If you have a 8.5-25 LRT scope, it will NOT accept a CDS dial - but Leupold will make a custom dial for it (for a price)...

... they make the CDS dials for free with a coupon that comes with the CDS scope.

Kenton Industries, makes a version, it can be put on leupy's with turrets or ones without (vxIII) can be done. they have a good turn around and take your rounds ballistics like Leupold does.
