Leuplod Reticle Change

Anyone know the cost or if Leupold will change a reticle.
Fine duplex to target dot.

They are not currently doing reticle changes. The custom shop has been closed for over a year with no time frame for reopening.

Optical Services Company will change reticles if the original uses wires - i.e., not etched.

Cheryl responds to texts - rarely to email.

It's been way more than a year since custom shop has been shut down. My quess is if it does reopen, it will only be for current production models, like all the other major players that do reticle replacement.

Do you know scope manufacturers that do replace reticles for their current models?

NIghtforce, S&B, and a Zeiss did last I checked. However, cost was high enough that you'd be better off selling your scope and buying a new one with the reticle you desired.

Appreciate it. I did read where custom shop was closed.. I had Leupold do a reticle change years ago and it was reasonable... Don't remember the cost.. Anyway...

My last "almost" dealing with Leupold custom shop was to install target knobs on a 12x scope. Have several, had picked up a mint one cheap but no knobs. Been there done this before. Called to verify they still did this. Just as I was about to hang up, I asked about the turn around time and price. Turn around was quick. Then I figured out why. Price had tripled since the previous one. Much cheaper to pay more for one with target turrents than to have them installed.

Yeah. The first time I had a reticle changed it was $75. Just before they closed, as I remember, it was $225.

I have given up on them, they used to be it! Now just overpriced stuff.
