Lesson learned

Just got some virgin Norma brass measured the length for trimming. Varied .002-.004 however I took 10 pieces and resized with my forster national match die. All measured a perfect 2.005.

I can’t believe how much factory annealing varied the overall length.

I Never thought to measure the length of new brass.
My practice is uniform primer pockets, size, trim (if needed), camfer & deburr, uniform/deburr flash holes, load.

When i first built my 284 Win, there was a sad lack of factory headstamped brass available at that time. 6.5-284 was pick your flavor.
I got 100 Norma cases at $155 by the time taxes & shipping was done.
Now i can buy Lapua for cheaper.

Remember, if Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Curious as to why you think it was annealing that caused the variation?...
