Leopold Custom shop update?

From what I can see the Leupold custom shop is still closed. Is that right and anyone know what’s happening with it——Thanks

I just emailed them last week bc I wanted to get a reticle changed in an HD5 and they said they were not taking any new orders at the time.

Hmm. I had been assuming that the custom shop was still 'working', just they were redoing what types of services/options they would offer.
Not sure what it means, but sounds more serious than reorganizing the services/options.

Here's the response I received from asking Leupold about their Custom Shop.

"The Leupold Custom Shop closed nearly 10 months ago to better improve it's productivity and overall end product. The processes that were needed to improve this work have heavily been interfered with due to COVID-19 restrictions, increased demand, and additional military contracts. These are all additional factors that were not known or factored in when deciding to close the shop for restructuring and have directly inhibited our ability to effectively restructure the shop.


Once we return to "normal" we will better be able to resume our restructuring process and refine our Custom Shop to better serve our customers. We greatly appreciate your patience and continued support!"
