I would check out the new SIG. Matt[/QUOTE
I looked up the SIG, you got me scratching my head. The Sig is looking very good.
Do you own one?

Cabela's had "refurbished" for 599. From what I've read, they looked new and still had the warranty.Seriously thinking of buying a new Leica 1600B. Who has the best price?

I have yet to see a better than average piece of Chinese glass. Yesterday I was shooting a friends rifle with a low end Zeiss and my rifle with a Nightforce. No comparison. The NF was light years better. Like my eye doctor told me, when it comes to optics, you get what you pay for.I looked thru the Sig at my local gun shop today. They let me take it outside. Even though cloudy, gloomy day the optics were very clear, and i like the way it operates. Hold the button down and the yardage display changes as you move from object to object. Release to hold and display yardage. Farthest object that we had to range was a small metal building at 1245 yds., and it repeated the same yardage numerous times. Also ranged numerous smaller objects at closer ranges. Warranty is 3 years longer than the Leica 1600B and the cost is $499 compared to $799. Now for the down side. The target circle is way to large, but this may not be a problem and to my disappointment, it has 5 little letters on the outside of the box.............china.

Just recieved my sig kilo2000 yesterday and took it out for a first run.. ranged everything I looked at cows in field- 973 yrds. Mail boxes 560 yards farthest on I could see. Cell phone tower at 2273 yards and finally water tower at just over 3190 yards . Everyone that tried it were very impressed. It is the fastest ranging finder that I have used. Compared it to leica 1600b and early 10 x 42 geovid. 1600 ranged well but not anything past the cows at 973 . Geovids had alot of miss reads evenat the cow and nothing past. I got the sig for 399 plus 14.95 shipping from vizards gun and ammo. Fast shipping . Two days
I called in my first order and once I received that order, I placed my next order online. I received my first order in 2 days. Happy with dealing with them so far.Senderoll,
Did you order online or call in?

I love to hear all the people talk about the new sig rangefinder and how they range farther then leica. so they do but how many people can shoot over 2000 yds? I have had a leica 1600-b for over 3 years and it will range deer out to 1200 yds but you have to hold it steady. in low light it will range all day at 1950 yds and it will range in the rain if not to heavy. it gives great info for long range shooting and we shoot out to 1400yds every day. the sig I tried was not as fast as leica and not as clear. the only problem I have had with leica is that it will range a small limb or grass out to 1000yds so I try too make sure of what I am trying to range. in low light it is the best I have ever seen. as for cows it gets them every time out to 1200yds!Seriously thinking of buying a new Leica 1600B.
