leica ER5 4-20x50

If you're talking about the new models just coming in that are selling for about $1300, I just mounted 1 on a buds rifle that I rebarreled to 300WSM for him. He took off a Zeiss Daivari and replaced it with the Leica. What I can tell out without actually firing yet, (in a few days) it is the clearest scope that I've ever looked thru. MUCH better than the Zeiss. We were hesitant because of the price difference but what I can tell you so far is that it is awesome.

thank you for the info. i look forward to hearing more when you get it out to shooting.the reticale and repetabilaty of the turrets are what i would like to know. i figured the glass would be great.

Pretty impressive. The 4-20x50 is only 23 oz and has 70 MOA of elevation. Of course Leica glass is renowned for having some of the absolute best low light performance in the industry. Would make one hell of a hunting scope. I might have to give these a try myself.

The 5-25x56 is only 1oz heavier (which is odd...thought it would be more), but then it drops down to 50 MOA of elevation

I'm not a fan of heavy reticles either. Don't even like ballistic reticles much anymore. To much cluster in the scope view and I never use any of it anyhow. Appears to only be two reticle options in the higher magnification scopes. Plex and Magnum Ballistic.
