leica CRF1600

does anyone have any experience with the crf 1600.for example how far can a ground hog, deer,or antelope be ranged.

I have had one on order for 9 weeks and each delivery date gets pushed back.

The dealer said my name should come up on the next shipment.

LeicaUSA told me thy were having problem and my order may not ship until next4 year.

One does not know who to beleive.

I've had one for a few days. Does everthing I expected. It kicks the LRF 1200 I had to the curb. No problems to 1500. I know it'll go further in the right light

Wow, I just bought my CRF 1200 6 months ago, and love it! Now they came out with one that ranges further?! 8)

Alf, how well does it do on trees and bushes and things like that? I am using an Elite 1500 bushnell but 600 is about all I can expect on vegetation. Road signs and reflective targets are a different story but deer and coyotes don't wear those nice reflective jogging suits.

I've only had it out the bright sun, which is the worst condition. I had some problems on cattle around 850-900, but had no problem on the ground next to them. Ranged a corn field at 1300+ and my 42" target at 1200, no sweat, as are trees. Found a place to stretch out my 338 at 1500. It struggled in the bright light to the trees, but I got the same reading, 1497, two days in a row. I also played on a gradual hillside, similar to a dog town, and it banged out every hump, bump, and thistle around the 850-900 mark. It's a winner.

Sounds like a winner. Most of the time the Bushnell does what I need it to, but when it fails to work at the worst time is when it makes me want to replace it. Just one more thing to put on the list I guess. This summer on my first Pdog trip I couldn't get mine or a buddies to range anything I think because it was just too flat to get it to bounce back. No brush or anything else to shoot.

I have the CRF 1200 and it will range out to 1325 yards on rocks and grass. I haven't tried it on animals at that range yet. My guess is the 1600 will meet or exceed it's advertised range.
