Left Hand Barrel Extension

I am building a left hand AR 15 . I'm using Cross Machine and Tool left hand upper and ambi lower with a Stag left hand BCG . I bought a White Oak 20" 223 Wylde service rifle barrel in 1:8 twist . Question is do I have to have a left hand barrel extension . I have looked on line and most of what I find is it is not necessary . But I thought I would put it to brain trust here .

Cool Here are some pics of my build .
I love the CMT stuff excellent quality but less than JP enterprises by a bunch . I bought two lowers . One for another build . Thinking 6mm AR

I also put a JP SCS buffer and Magpul PRS Stock on it .

Probably a chamfer on the extension lugs (forward edge) to eliminate the sharp edges in both directions.
Some cheap extensions don't chamfer at all.
Bolt will wear off sharp edges.
How many LH ARs out there that run just fine with a right hand extension?

I talked with John at Whire Oak about this. It depends on what lh system you have and wether the bolt rotates the same direction as a rh rifle or opposite. The old DPMS lefties do not need a a special extension. I believe the Stag Arms do.

This is the only thing I could imagine.

Interesting . Funny thing is Stag does not say anything about a left hand extension as an option on any of their barrels . You would think they would since they are one of the major left hand ar companies .

Maybe their bolts rotate the right way now. Time seems to do that to companies and how they simplify things

Keystone Accuracy has offered the Ambidextrous extension for years. I always had John Scandale install one on my barrels for my LH Stag Arms upper/BCG. I've also used and am currently using regular WOA service rifle barrels on my LH uppers and never had any problems with function.
