We have recently been receiving a fair number of calls from left handed shooters desirous of obtaining a 6mmAR, but wanting a loading port on the left side of the rifle. Since the 6mmAR bolts are only made in a right hand configuration, that would mean a set up with a left side loading port and a right side ejection port. We now will do this, but feel it is important to use an extra stiff receiver like the DPMS Low Pro upper receiver, since there's a port on both sides of the receiver. The problem with the DPMS Low Pro receiver was that it never came with a shell deflector on the right side, and a left handed shooter needs a shell deflector to keep cases from ejecting into the shooter's face. We are now also making after market shell deflectors for the DPMS Low Pro upper receiver that can be installed by simply drilling and tapping two holes into the side of the receiver.
