Left Hand .264 Action??? Where???

I've been looking for a Left Hand action, in a .264, but not had any luck
Does anyone make these, are there old receivers out there and I just
haven't looked in the right place?

Thanks Miwoodcock

I bought a LH TIkka 6.5 Creedmoor this year. It took many months to find ONE. You lefties have it rough...

Ruger, Browning, and Tikka reliably make a run of LH actions each year and they hit the market in the fall. I was told over and over again that lefties should order their guns by spring and expect them in the fall after this run. Otherwise, you have to search nationwide on the internet. I wouldn't believe that advice myself if not having gone through what I just went through.

Being from MN, I would strongly recommend Scheels. Sportsmans warehouse also has a good track record of ordering guns and actually delivering. Both will ship a gun to your local store from anywhere in their nationwide inventory at little or no charge.

**Note, many stores have not received their full orders from 2021 or even 2020, so you have to be deliberate and not rely on chance that your store is going to have what you want.

I've checked with Scheels (Rochester) and Coyote Creek (Rochester) and Cabelas (Owatonna) NADA from anyone..

I have a nephew that is the manager of a retail gun store in Tulsa. He is left handed and is always looking for something to buy. He might be able to provide some information. If you would like the store number, send me a pm.

Thanks Edd. I think I found what I was looking for, but will retain this if need.
Much appreciated.

I dont think youll be able to make a 264 fit in a short action
It’s the same length as most belted magnums, 7mm, 300 Win Mag. So I doubt it.
Dusty, I was around when Winchester brought out the 264. The Gun Magazines crucified it because it did not live up to the hype in 22 and 24 inch barrels. The thing died on the vine.

But Remington did it right a few years later when they brought out the 7mm REM Mag. No unrealistic hype. Just a great cartridge.

Now we come to the mid 2000’s when the 6.5 craze hit. Wow, everybody wanted 6.5’s.

If they would have taken the 7mm REM Mag and necked it down to 6.5, it would have come full circle.

they would have a 264 Winchester Magnum.

I'm just looking for a left hand short actioned rifle for caliber 243/6 mm-308 win. A left hand action would also work. I could get it barreled and stocked, but would prefer a complete rifle. It's for deer hunting.

Pacific Tool & Gauge lists lefty, trued/squared Remington 700 actions on their website. No indication of whether anything's in stock (as a receiver at PTG), but they do indicate there's a typical 8-12 week wait for a custom configured action. Might be worth giving them a call, if an action then building up your .264 Win Mag is the route you'd prefer.

I built a nosler magnum on a win 70 in 264mag years back. I remember it was the only barrel ive ever seen that was firecracked to the muzzle. Not surprisingly the guy wanted to build on that one because it didnt shoot like it used to.
