Lee Loadmaster primer conversion

I've been using my loadmaster since 2018, when we moved into our new house. The worst issue I've had (as with most who use this press) Is the priming system occupying the second station, and priming on the upstroke. I just came across this upgrade, which allows you to prime at the bottom of the stroke. Which frees up the second station.

Have any of you Loadmaster users used this?

I know there are a lot of people that hate this press, but it's what I have, and I'm content to keep using it. Especially if I can tweak it to be even more useful for me.

Not that one, but, I did modify mine to prime at the bottom.

1. Remove the 1/4 bolt that moved the primer seating arm.
2. Add a 10" lever to the primer seat arm.

At the bottom of the stroke just press down on the lever to seat the primer (may have to hold some pressure on the ram handle). I chose the manual method to avoid messing with the indexing (which is the most mickey mouse part of the Loadmaster setup).

Sorry, no pictures. I gave the press away a while ago.

I like the primer handling part of that one. The indexing does not give me confidence. If he would have completely changed the indexing setup I think it would be far better. Easier said than done :) At one time I thought about changing mine to a manual index like the Dillon 550.

Interesting. Hope it works out for you. The priming system on my loadmaster was so problematic/unreliable, that I shelved the entire press and went back to the classic turret.
