Lee custom case length guage for trimming.

I have always used the lee length guage and cuttersetup for case trimming. I am currently buildino a 6xc, and Lee doesn't offer one to fit. I can have them make one but they claim to allow for - .015 tollerance. This seems a little much to me. Has anyone else had them make a custom length guage and had this problem, or should I start looking to switch to a lathe style trimmer?

If they are not charging a lot, I would let them make it for me, then tweak it if required. If it's a bit shorter than you want it, you can back the cutter out from the stop on the threaded stem slightly, then put a little permanent Loctite on it to hold it where you want it. You can also pry the split threaded section apart slightly to make it difficult to move the cutter.

Thanks for the response. They run about $20 out the door, which is a lot cheaper then a new lathe style setup. I just didn't know if there was anything I would be lacking by going that route.

For $20 it's a no-brainer, since you already like and use the Lee for everything else. Thanks for informing us of this service!
