LED Lights in Reloading Room ?

I’m reloading in a spare bedroom. I needed better lighting so I took out the ceiling fan and replaced it with a 4 panel LED light fixture. The extra light is great.

My newbie question is will the LED light affect my Charge Master’s scale? I have 3 Charge Master Lites and just got the Creedmoor Sports scale.

I was loading some .308 ammo this evening and the Charge Master seemed to be drifting when I weighed each charge against the Creedmoor scale that I just got. I used to use an RCBS 5-0-5 scale wanted to upgrade my powder scale and the Creedmoor fit my budget.

I ended throwing a lighter charge and just trickled up with the Dandy trickler.

Thanks for your help. I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Thanks Gents! I did have my phone on the bench very close to the CM and the new Creedmoor scale.

I’ll leave the phone in the den and see what happens.

I have nothing but LED lighting in my reloading room and, as I use a Auto Throw V3, I use my phone to control it.
Absolutely no issues.

when was the last time you saw a hospital/laboratory/pharmacy with incandescent lights or kerosene lamps? All sorts of sensitive electronics in those

How close was your cell phone to the scales? They are constantly sending and receiving. Definitely will mess with electronic scales.
I normally have my cell phone within a couple feet of the scale while throwing powder (V3). I also am usually using bluetooth to listen to podcasts or Pandora and haven't noticed any issues. Maybe the Tripplite line conditioner is the reason?

OK, no disrespect intended, that's not me. What about the Chargemaster Link? We're using an app with the scale. Have there been reports of that scale messing up when using the app?

Just trying to learn here, as always.

There was previous discussion about this in the past with inconclusive results, so to be safe I converted my 3 LED lights to DC (they come with a switcher). Built my own 48v linear supply. Maybe it wasn’t necessary but did it anyway.

Depends on the scale. If designed to use an app on a cell phone, imagine the chargemaster, should be, insulated.

Have a couple of Pacts and Hornady - both hate cell phones in proximity.
