Leather vs Cordura

Looking into a new front bag. Leather vs Cordura , thoughts on these choices ? Is cordura abrasive to a stock ?

Thanks

I tried the new 3M Super Slick Silver Material when I purchased my rear bag from Protektor and it works great. It preformed well this past spring, summer, and fall. Don't know what it does if it gets wet.....
Protektor makes front rest bags with it in several configurations
Here's one..

ME TOO!!! That new super slick material is AWESOME!!!! I got a Dr Bag with heavy sand and medium super slick ears and I love that thing!!!

Consistent recoil with a smooth break-away is what you want, not necessarily the least friction. When I was testing all the different combos the best for a consistent and smooth release was Cordura with a 50/50 mix of powdered carnuba wax and ptfe powder. The slick material is too slick for me. It only works well on clear, dont use it with aluminum.

I have a newer bag from Protektor with the 3M slick ears and an older Edgewood bag with cordura ears and neither are really abrasive and both work very well.

If you hard anodize the aluminum, it gets less grabby. Matt

Plain jane leather with baby powder is the most consistent for me. That newfangled stuff causes vertical in a short range ppc where you can actually test it. Smooth thru the travel with no breakaway or change in friction is what ive found to work

I saw vertical with it when I tried it as well.
