Leather Scope Caps

I haven't owned or even seen a pair in person but I believe Benchrite sells them. Look to be good quality.

Donovans website says they are taking a brief hiatus and will reopen soon. I have been checking back for over a month with no luck. Benchrite only offers certain sizes but not the ones I need. Wished I could find someone to make them for a NF 12-42x56mm and the Sightron SV 10-50x60 mm ED

They had posted on their site that they would be at a shoot till the 23rd. and it's no longer up , So I take it that they are reopened for business.

If you mean Donovans I must be on the wrong site. Could you give me the correct one please? Thanks

Anyone had any luck with leather caps? Spoke to the fellow at Benchrite and he said that the fellow making them for him is kind of running hot and cold. They come in whenever they come in, but he has no idea when that might be, or if it might be. I saw Rigby, in England makes them with a strap, but I’m trying to avoid the strap. Trying to get a set for a Nightforce Competition. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Would kill for a set of Rick Averill’s, however “dollar short and a day late is my middle name”. Thanks so much.

Here is a question, do these leather caps wear the finish off a scope ?

You know, never really thought about it. I have never worn the finish off any turrets from handling them. However, I suppose if it were handled enough, the finish could wear off a bit. I would think, that it would take an awful lot of, taking the leather caps on and off to do it though.

Looking for leather scope caps, I see Rick Averill closed his doors. Is there anyone else that is recommended?
I make leather scope caps, several different sizes. George Donovan 740- 517-6189.
Donovan caps are hand tooled and hand stitched works of art.
