Lead sled/change POI

Do you think using something like the lead sled to work up loads or sight in you rifle is OK, or do you think it could change the point of impact.

I think it would change the point of impact.. It would all be within a couple of inches, But.....

I think shooting offhand, benchrest, sitting. kneeling, prone, will all give a different point of impact. Just because of how the firearm is being held..

BR guns are routinely shot free recoil. Unless there is some form of tension on the rifle when in the lead slead that is different than when being held, little or no difference should be noted. Now saying this if the action/barrel is not bedded correctly in the stock it will shoot all over the place.
