I fix stuff, sometimes....

Cheap and cheap. That's the goal, so after a quick glance at eBay I located a .5" stub reground carbide end mill for $7 shipped. That fits the bearing on the trimmer. A few days later and quick lathe work with some .75" round stock i had a holder made. Some silver solder to hold the end mill in place, some threading for the handle and presto. A trimmer cutter that can trim 10cal to 458 with no issues of smashing or using HSS cutting bits.
A quick test shows that it'll eat through any type of trimming necessary. I'm sure with the drill attachment, it'll get there even faster. Very very smooth and even cut.
So if you have the tools, it's worrh the time.
