LC green Tip Ammo

Anyone shooting this ammo for plinking, P Dogs or Ground Hogs Feral Hogs, thinking of buying some for general shooting and for the LC cases

The green tip signifies a steel penetrator core (ie "armor piercing") I would not shoot it at animals as it will not expand and some ranges do not allow "armor piercing" ammo to be shot. Also, I have found it to not be very accurate.

I would not recommend it for your stted uses.

Technically it's not "armor piercing," because civilians aren't allowed to buy true "armor piercing" ammo. What it is is enhanced penetration ammo (designed to go through glass, doors, etc., better than regular M193), adopted due to the perceived poor penetration of M193 compared to 7.62x51, etc. However, you are right that many ranges don't allow steel core ammo (usually their test is any ammo that is picked up by a magnet), due to the risk of sparks or ricochet.
