I just purchased my first dedicated comp action. I looked around and studied several actions. I decided to give Lawton a call after fondling one at a friends shop. I dont have enough experience to know exactly what to look for, but i was impressed non the less. The action reminded me a lot of a BAT action. Anyway after talking with Lawton and coming to an agreement on a price I bought one. This action will be used for a 30BR rifle. This will be my first short range rifle and i feel pretty good about it. I found a good deal on a Bartlein barrel and a McMillan Bruno HV stock. I was hoping some of you guys might have some experience with Lawton action and i was hoping you could tell me what your personal thoughts are on them. Thanks Lee

Mine is working out just fine, it does not have the fit and finish of any of my BATS but it didn't cost as much either.. It's working out very well with my 7mm SAUMA bartlein barrel.... A very nice action for the price...

I use one on my F-Class rifle and really like it. Mine has the right bolt, right port, left eject. It's a 6.5-284 with a Krieger bbl and it shoots extremely well, .750' at 300 yards.
