largest barrel in a hs stock?

I have a remington 700p in 223. that i'm getting back from pac-nor this friday. its a heavy barreled 6mmbr. 28" with 1.2" for 6 inches and then its a straight taper to .930 at the muzzle. im thinking this will be too big for my stock, but i cant wait to shoot it. doesn anyone know how to open up the barrel channel in a HS precision stock for fit a larger barrel contour? I am a machinist and have access to several mills, but i wouldnt really know how to go about milling a foam/plasic/composite/graphite stock anyways. any help? thanks!!!

I've opened my channel for a larger barrel diameter by using an inletting tool available from Brownell's. They are made for the purpose you are describing, however, it is a manual tool that does an acceptable job. They are made in 7/8" & 1" dia. and other sizes. Hope this helps.
