Large vs small primer pocket

Have a new 6XC barrel coming. Have used Norma brass with large primer pockets in the past. It is now available with small pockets. Could there be advantages to switching? My 6.5x47 uses them and seldom, if ever, do they 'loosen', where the large primers in the 6XC do loosen, occasionally. What about precision between the two, specifically?

I shoot a 6mm American that uses 30-30 brass with a small rifle primer pocket, and in the testing that I have done with both large and small primer pockets in the same gun, the small primer pocket cases have more consistency in terms of both velocity and accuracy, as well as single digit deviations from round to round.

I believe that a 6XC is a small enough case to take advantage of the S/R primer pockets. I have shot .260A.I.s for years and I have used BOTH the S/Rs and the L/Rs. The S/Rs are definitely stronger. I have also got my best accuracy out of the L/Rs>>>and they are fairly stout too! NOT as strong as the S/Rs but strong enough for me! You can usually get to the next higher node with S/Rs>>> but it may not get you the accuracy you are looking for.. BUT then again, it may!

A seasoned, logical and consistent BR competitor told me this when I asked about ppc w large and sr primers: abt .050" was his opinion....favor of sr.
