Lapua to expand rimfire production

6 years ...... hell Europe will probably be at War by then
Scandinavian companies actually train their people, they don't just throw people on the job after 10 minutes and say have at it.
As mentioned, permits and actually having the machines built and Installed.
The company I used to work for ordered a new machine from Holland and it took almost 3 years to get here.
That machine is not nearly as complicated as what would be needed for the process of making ammunition.

Any day now, we should be hearing that shooting has to be banned because of the carbon released.
You jest, but here in the UK there has been a lot of discussion on shooting and lead pollution. Apparently the civil servants had no idea the lead was recovered from the butts and recycled. Hopefully that translates to US English! ;)

I think German and Scandinavian companies are much better about offering realistic estimates.

The American way is to overpromise and drive your people into getting everything done sooner than expected, rather than to do anything well. I admire the focus on quality execution.

So many European countries use the apprenticeship programs and some take many years to do.

Actually, I started out to jest, then realized it could really happen, and sooner than we think.

You asked what hunters think, so the answers you get would be very diverse. From your original post, I get the feeling that you should have researched the practice you can't abide by. You would find it essentially doesn't exist. I can't abide by a lot of things, but I have learned to keep my thoughts to myself and distance myself from what I can't abide by.

However, in SC, if you apply for a depredation permit because the deer population is so high they have become destructive (which it has in many areas of SC) SCDNR issues tags to shoot does only. Since no processors are open during the growing season, SCDNR tells use to tag the deer and leave it where it falls to rot. Although I can't abide by that, I can't abide more the destruction to the crops. So, I pick the second abidement as the one I choose to pursue and remedy.
