Lapua Scenar-L vs Berger Hybrids 7mm 180gr

I got lucky and was able to purchase Lapua 7mm 180gr Scenar-L's from Graf & Sons. I ran a quick and dirty test, 10 each, between Berger 180 Hybrids and the Lapua 180 Scenar-L. Ran weights and base-to-ogive.

First, the Scenar-Ls have an `.020" longer bearing surface.
Berger: Weight ES=.3gr; ES base-to-ogive=.003
Lapua: .1gr; .001

For the Berger's the ES's and B2O's were, pretty much, evenly distributed within the sample. The Lapua's showed only 1 bullet +.1 grain and only 2 +.001. I'll try to use a larger sample next to get more definitive stats.Also, the Lapua's had a very crisp transition between the bullet body and the boattail. The Berger's definitely had a distinct radius.

If you get a chance to shoot them over a chronograph at different ranges, it would be cool to see a B.C. calculation, since Lapua doesn't seem to want to share.

It usually takes Lapua a couple of months after the bullets hit the shelves to post B.C. This happened with the .30 caliber 220 gr. Scenars.

However, Lapua posted a G1 of .608 for the 220's, but trough testing and given my 1,000 yard comeups, that they are .700 G1. I'm curious to see what the published BC will be for the 180's as compared to actual.

Graf & Sons reports the following:

150 grain Scenar-L

BC Values: G1: .526 G7: .260

180 grain Scenar-L

BC Values: G1: .661 G7: .332

its gonna be hard for me to leave the 180 hybrid. I wouldn't mind trying some , but they will have to be self guided for me to switch I think.
