lapua brass 30.06 to 25.06

I recently purchased 10 pcs. of Lapua brass to resize to 25.06. Went FL dies, 30.06-.270-25.06. Whew! For a couple of minutes I thought I wasn't going to be able to remove the first case out of the .270 die. It was really tough getting past the expander ball. Do you think I should run through the .06 die and then the expander mandrel, turn the neck and then finish the process? Or should I just remove the stem? Yes, I put Imperial wax on the case, and inside the neck.

Why is the expander ball still on ?. You don't need it at all when necking down, take the stem out completely.
