Lapua 139's jump or no?

Im working up a load in my 6.5-284 with these bullets and Im at .6moa with a .025" jam. Now I want to play with the seating depth and tighten that up. How are you folks using these bullets?

I'm running them with a .012" jam in my 6.5-284 Bartlein barrel.

Did you develope with various jam and various jump to arrive at this? If you wouldnt mind could you give me the load specs?

I tried them at a .020" jam and believe that they're a little more consistant at .012" with my load in this particular barrel.

139 Scenar @ .012" jam, .002" neck tension
48.5 gr. H4350
Lapua brass
BR-2 primers

MV avg. 2912 fps over my 35P with ES of 14 and SD of 7 from my 30" Bartlein 5R barrel chambered with a PT&G no neck turn reamer.

I haven't done a whole bunch of load development for this rifle because it seemed to fall into place early in the game and accuracy is plenty good for tactical competitions. Also, I feel that there's not much sense in burnung out the barrel looking for the tightest possible groups. I'd rather burn out the barrel shooting it at 1000 yards in competition ;)

Just finished testing with .005" to .025" off in .005" increments. First thing noticed was a velocity and pressure drop. The next thing was my 3 shot groups went ot .3 and .4moa at 200yds. Best was a .3 average with .005" off but the ES and SD was higher than I would like. Next best was .015" with an average of .4moa with ES of 14 and SD of 6. Figure now I'll work with that and up the charge in .3gr. to see if it sweetens the groups any.

This forum likes to jam and the OTHER forum likes to jump. After your test please tell us the secret. Hunter of moose?

No problem. I always inform and or post test results and I REALLY appreciate it when others do the same. Testing is expensive and drastically limits an already short barrel life so sharing info is paramount. I hope to get out in the next few days with 51.8, 52.1 and 52.4gr. loads of H4831sc and a .015" jump. Hopefully the 3 shot groups will shrink and ES will stay low. As for "hunter of moose", you betchya!
