Lapping lugs

Bought a used 6br and the lugs have some galling. Would this be able to be lapped out with compound or should I send it in? Its a remage barrel, so resetting headspace is not a big issue.

You wont lap that out right. Send the bolt in to get all fixed up and thatll get taken care of

I would want to check the abutments in the receiver also, most likely they are a mirror image of the lugs.

What do the action lugs look like? There's no reason to clean them up completely. You just want to get rid of the high spots to stop any further galling. A little texture will hold grease.

Who's bolt is that? Not sure if its galled or just smoothed out the crap Remington looking
sandpaper finish.

It is an older 700, j-lock era, I haven't pulled the barrel yet to check the action.
