I ordered a stock from Boyd’s last fall. They wouldn’t omit the mag well, and wouldn’t leave off sling studs either. Other than that, i was pretty happy with it. I was also happy with the 2 week order to delivery time for one I had them whittle out of real wood for something other than a M700.Boyds Pro Varmint stock can be had for $250-$300 depending on the extras you add. It can be configured with an adjustable comb and varying LOP and Recoil Pads. A railed bag rider is available from someone on this site that could be inletted into the stock or attached to a Pick Rail attached to the stock. It can be inletted for either a Savage action or Remington 700 or a clone. Have them omit the inletting of the magazine space or fill it with added weight like I did. There is a good selection of different colors and a bull barrel channel. Attached is mine with a red & black laminate, higher grade finish, and adjustable comb with a Savage action, Northland 28" Criterion bull barrel, and the attached bag rider. The stock with the bag rider was about $350 but might cost more now. It rides my bags well and is in 6BR-Norma. I use it for 600 yard F-Class and IBS BR.
