ladder ?

Hi
I know this is not a new topic but I see questions that don't get answers, and if they do it is too complicated for us new guys. If you call 64 years new? Please keep it simple so I can understand it:)

When building a ladder you select a bullet and powder.
Start at min load and work up .2 gr at a time?
This means 5 loads for 1.0 gr. = 25 rounds?
If min load is 30.gr and max is 33.gr =

You would load a total of 75 rounds?

Start with jam? Is a .010 long mark on the bullet .010 jam?

I shoot a 6br varmet and a 6ppc 14 Twist, both build by Hart

thanks

My input to ladder testing:

1) For powder charges in a Ladder, I load 1 round only in 3-tenths increments, w/chrono data.
<> The clusters will point to the accuracy nodes.

2) For seating depths in a Ladder, I load 3-rounds with aggressive adjustments of .005".
2.A)I shoot them in a "round robin" to alternating targets
2.B) When the best direction is known, I move down to small increments

3) For primers in a Ladder, I use 3-shot aggregate style w/chrono data

4) For neck tension in a Ladder, I use 3-shot aggregate style w/chrono data

I saw in earlier post that you also use pressure trace.
I also have a pressure trace setup but rarely use it,gotta have a strain gauge on every barrel gotta drag it all to the range), so I am a little curious how you use it in picking a load.

Also I am thinking about coming to the next Ft. Pierre match, will you be there?

Lynn,
Would that work if I jump my bullets 50, 75, 100, and 125 thousands. I never load bullets near the lands.
